Description :

Dena (in Persian and Lurish: دنا) is the name for a sub range within the Zagros range of West/Southwestern Iran. Dena range, with 80 km length and 15 km average width, is situated on the boundary of the Isfahan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces.

Dena has more than 40 peaks higher than 4000 meters. Qash-Mastan is the highest peak in Dena range with an elevation of 4,409 meters above sea level. Other famous peak in this range is Hozdal close to Sisakht city, 30 km to the north of Yasuj.

Annual precipitation in Dena range is from 600 to 1800 mm and various rivers including a branch of Karun rise in this range.

Hozdal Peak
Central Hozdal (also called Dena peak) is the most popular peak of the mountain for hiking trekking and mountaineering.
The route for this peak passes through the beautiful Boz Kosh Valley on the south face of the mountain.
This route has a shelter/refuge called Cheshme Pouneh (or Cheshmeh Pidani) at altitude 3800 m, about 1.5 to 2 hours before the summit.
Sisakht Town is about 35 km from Yasuj City and is the favorite starting point to reach Mt Dena.

In this program we ascend Hozdal summit, When we reach the top of the mountain you can see the breathtaking view of 3 provinces of Esfahan, Kohgiluyeh and Charmahal Bakhtiari .

If you are energetic and strong enough, we suggest you join this mountaineering plan.
Itinerary :
Day 1: Driving from your Hotel in Shiraz to Sisakht (4 hours). About 5 hours high walking  to Shelter.

Overnight: camping.
Day 2: High walking about 2 hours and reach Hozdal summit (4250 m), take photo and then descend to shelter(1hour walking), Collected up the gear and walking down (4 hours walking) and return to Shiraz (4 hours driving).
